Looking for a way to beat the heat? We sure are! San Diego's Aquatica by SeaWorld helped us cool off this summer and enjoy some quality family time! The water park is just a short drive from our home so it was a nice treat to spend the day at one of San Diego's spots to keep cool!
It's been awhile since our last visit to Aquatica so we were super excited for our visit!

Second stop was lunch. I had this yummy French Fry Cone which was french fries topped with chili verde, pulled pork, and pico de gallo at the Waterstone Grill. Yummy!
Walkabout Waters was our next stop. The four-story interactive, outdoor attraction features loads of hands-on fun with slides, hoses, jets, geysers and more. Every five minutes a 500-gallon bucket unloads water on everyone below. Our boys timed their water play just right to be under the giant bucket every time it poured!
Slippity Dippity had to be one of my boys favorite places to hangout at Aquatica. This area provides kids with several kid friendly slides to enjoy the fun. I sat and relaxed under the waterfall while they played. It was nice!
1) No need to bring your own life vests. Life vests for infants all the way to adults are available for use and are complimentary with your entrance to the water park. The life vests made my boys more comfortable in the water so they were able to enjoy themselves all the more.
2) With the Cashless Wristband you can make purchases all day without carrying cash or your credit card! It's a smart, convenient way to swim, slide, splash, eat and ride without worrying about misplacing your cash or credit cards. Get your wristband at any ticket window, Cabana check-in or locker rental. The wristband can be used for food or merchandise at any location throughout the water park.
5) Big Surf Shores, Loggerhead Lane, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove, Walkabout Waters and Slippity Dippity are heated pools. For friends and family that are easily get the chills, this is a great place to warm up a bit.
