I love discovering new places to eat in Los Angeles. I find myself in the city a few times a year to visit family and friends for all of life's fun events: birthdays, weddings, baptisms, and more.
After a fun-filled Saturday celebrating my grandma's 95th birthday, Sunday morning found us looking for somewhere to have a delicious breakfast.
Upon entering the restaurant, I got a 60's diner feel which was cool. The decor was kinda retro, but at the same time modern. The host at the front wasn't too friendly. He looked like he has a rough night. I decided to let his negative vibe pass and let the food speak for itself.
I decided to order the steak special for breakfast since so many diners raved about it online. It was the perfect serving size for a hearty breakfast, not too heavy. The home potatoes on the side are a welcomed compliment to the steak. This made my tummy happy!
My husband was bugging me to visit Roscoe's for breakfast since he wanted chicken and waffles. He was pleasantly surprised by the generous helping he got a Jack's. The chicken was warm and crunchy. The waffles had a bit of crunch but soft in the center. The syrup was the glue that put the savory and sweet all together. So yum!
My youngest LOVES pancakes so he had a huge smile on his face when his kids breakfast pancakes came out in the shape of Mickey Mouse! He loved the pancakes and eggs - of of which tasted great! The sausage was a tough so one bite and he didn't have anymore.
My eldest has brunch with his kids meal hot dog and fries. It was a huge hot dog which he only ate about half. It is a big portion for a kids meal so make sure your kids have a good appetite!
Jack's Whitter Restaurant is located at 13221 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA 90602 and is open from 6AM to Midnight everyday!
