Traveling is one of my all time loves. I wish I had more time, and money, to travel to distant and exotic places. I'm lucky though, to live in California, where we have so many beautiful places to visit!
For our Spring Break this year, we decided to take the Amtrak from San Diego to San Luis Obispo. The train ride took all day but it was a relaxing ride without the worries of potty stops, hungry children, or traffic. Our seats on the train were very roomy with lots of room for our squirmy little boys to move around. There was also a "food car" which served all the yummies our kids usually eat - hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, and more!
Once arrived in San Luis Obispo, we picked up our rental car at the airport, the headed to our home for the weekend: Oxford Suites. With breakfast in the mornings and cocktails in the evening included in our stay, along with the the roomy suites and heated pool was a perfect home for the weekend.

That evening, we headed to the Cracked Crab for dinner. We definitely got down and dirty, cracked a bucket full of crab and fulled our tummies!
