Get Muddy at the Kids Obstacle Challenge

Have you heard of the San Diego Subaru Kids Obstacle Challenge?

My sister-in-law and her family braved the kids obstacle course a few weeks ago at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, California.

Rock walls, mud pits, ropes over water,  cargo nets, dodging floating cannonballs, and more- they braved it all!

PROS and CONS from my sister-in-law:

PROS

-Family oriented kids obstacle course.  Parents could do the full course with the kids, that includes getting wet and muddy! Or you can run/walk around obstacles and stay clean.

-Options for challenges for both younger and older kids

- Staggered start times. We did the afternoon wave, so it was hot by the time we run.  But since we got wet throughout the course, the heat was actually tolerable.

-We heard about the long lines to do the courses for the morning waves,  but there were no lines or delays for the afternoon wave

-Friendly staff

CONS

-Entry cost is a bit steep.  The kids only get a  medal, no t-shirt.

-The kids could run again,  but you had to pay a re-entry fee.

-Needed more water stations at the finish line.

Sounds like it was a good time overall!

You too can give your kids the chance to release their inner beast and push themselves, all while getting covered in mud together as a family! Prepare to Brave Your Adventure and have some family fun!
