Week One: #100MileSummer

Week one of the 100 Mile Summer Challenge was a bit of a challenge in and of itself because half the time I was on vacation with my family. So, the scheduled walks and runs didn't happen, but I did log the walking we did in and around Portland, Oregon.

In Portland, I had the most amazing views to log my miles. Here a few:

Here I am having some fun with the panoramic function on my camera at Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
A short hike brought me to the bottom of Latourell Falls along the Columbia River Gorge.

The International Rose Garden is HUGE and our looping up and down the countless rows of roses are fragrant and beautiful!

Once back home in San Diego after vacation, it was hard to get back on track with my miles. I did a few more miles in in between loads of laundry, keeping house, and entertaining my two little boys.

I also bought myself a Fitbit to help me keep track of my miles, calories, minutes active, and more. It's a neat device and I'm learning more and more how it works!

So, week one of the #100milesummer, I've accumulated 7.78 miles. Phew, I have some work to do!

Are you taking on the #100milesummer challenge? How are you doing?
